Friday was B’s 3rd Birthday!
It’s really no surprise that a 3-year-old boy has an obsession with anything and everything Toy Story… Buzz, Woody, Jessie, Rex, Potato Head, even The Claaaaaaw…
We had an intimate party, just the 5 of us, and mommy went a tad overboard with the party details. I just couldn’t help myself. One idea after another rolled into my head; I actually had to draw the line or my husband would have gone crazy (after I asked him to go to the craft store at 5pm on Black Friday… of all the days).
I made the curtain and table runners from a purple cotton fabric that I already had (I used my Serger to give each piece a finished look– with white thread along the edges), the banner and goody bag tags were printed from my home computer on card stock, the toys were gathered from the playroom, the cupcakes (even though I bought the wrong icing tip and they look more like spaghetti with meatballs) were meant to look like peperoni pizza. The Pizza Party circles are from The Tom Kat Studio and they complimented the theme perfectly… so say the little green aliens.
We made our very own personal size (healthy) pizzas for dinner.. my kitchen was transformed into a real life Pizza Planet!
The kids had a blast, I had a great time putting my creative ideas to use, and the look on B’s face when he saw his special birthday decorations was priceless.

love it!! I love TomKat – her stuff rocks!
thanks and agree!
I'm trying to find some time to make new things. yeah, right. Maybe by the time he turns 6?! ha. Til then? Tom Kat all the way.
You are so flippin crafty! And yes, I love TomKat too! Happy Bday B!
That's really cute! I somehow can't come up with ideas like that on my own. I usually do the traditional streamers, baloons, birthday cake. My daughter loves it though…at 3 years old, she doesn't know yet that mommy has almost no creative decorating skills of her own! If I do something fun, it's usually somebody else's idea first. At least I try!!!
What a sweet party, I love the cupcakes!
Mary- Thanks and thanks
xo
Melissa- Inspiration is where it's at! It's fun to do something creative and less traditional.
Victoria- thank you!
