Build a Busy Box for on the go adventures with your kids! Busy Boxes are great for long car trips, hanging out while the older sibling plays sports, meals at restaurants, visiting a friends or family’s house that doesn’t have kids paraphernalia and airplane rides. Simply buy see-through containers, preferably with locking lids and a handle (so your children can “help” carry it without the risk of it spilling all over) and fill it with your child’s favorite activities, toys and other fun things. We actually have three Busy Boxes- one for each child. Each one has a variety of their favorite things.

For example, in our 3-year-old’s Busy Box:
1. Crayons in a smaller tupperware container
2. Small blank notepad
3. Ocean flash cards
4. Color Wonder book and markers
5. A few wooden trains (they are duplicates of the ones he has in the house)
6. Spanish/English flip book/flash cards
7. Stickers
8. A few pages torn out of his favorite coloring book

I’ve been called “maternal” since the day I could hold a baby doll. I’ve become a pregnancy, baby and parenting resource since having my first child almost 10 years ago. This is my blog and where I share my journey through parenthood with you.
